Episode #03 - Emerald Island

In the last episode, Sérgio and the others got settled on the ship on their first night at sea. Then they headed off to their first destination: Emerald Island!

Sérgio: Finally! Emerald Island!
Serge: It's a lot bigger than Serge Island...
Sprit: This part of the island is called Sunshine Shore. The emerald gem is located at the base of Emerald Island.
Brownie: The base?
Serge: The center.
Brownie: Oh...
Sérgia: So we should head there then.
Sprit: We have to find a path to the base first, but the map doesn't show one...
Sérgio: Then this will take forever... Hey, I have an idea! Maybe I can find a path if I fly above the island.
Sprit: Good idea.
Sérgio: Flies above the island, then flies back down.
Chris: What did you see up there?
Sérgio: Nothing but trees...
Sérgia: How are we supposed to see the emerald gem now?
Serge: Maybe the path is hidden.
Sérgio: Yeah, but then how are we supposed to find it?
?: Finally, here it is!
Sérgio: Darkés!
Darkés: Oh no, not now... Disappears.
Sérgio: Aw, come on!
Sérgia: What was he doing here anyway?
Chris: He probably found a way to find the gems without the map. We should hurry up and find it before he shows up again.
Sérgio: But how will finding it help?
Chris: Let's just find it... we'll think about that later.
Sérgio: Yeah, good idea...
?: HELP!!!
Sérgia: What was that?
Sérgio: I don't know...
Sprit: Behind you guys! Evil ParaSerges!
Serge: I'll take care of this! He defeats them easily with Solarbeam.
Sérgio: Wow Serge, I didn't know you could use Solarbeam! Can you teach me?
Serge: Sure... huh?

A Dual ParaSerge appears in front of them.

Dual ParaSerge: Thank you for saving my comrades.
Sérgia: Are you a Dual ParaSerge?
Chris: Look, there are ParaSerges too.
Dual ParaSerge: We're guards of the Emerald Gem.
Sérgio: Then can you show us to it?
ParaSerge 1: We usually don't but...
ParaSerge 2: ...we'll make an exception...
ParaSerge 3: ...for a fellow Serge!
Sérgio: It looks like you're their hero!
Serge: Really? Wow!
Brownie: Hey, I'm a Serge too...

The Dual ParaSerge and ParaSerges show them they way to the base of Emerald Island.

Brownie: Wow! This is the base of Emerald Island?
Sérgia: It's so beautiful!
Sérgio: Yeah...
ParaSerge 1: If you wish to see the Emerald Gem...
ParaSerge 2: ...head down that path...
ParaSerge 3: ...and you'll find it!
Sérgio: Thanks, you guys!

They all head down the path and find the Emerald Gem on a pedestal with a hole in it.

Brownie: Wow! That's the Emerald Gem?
Sérgia: I've never seen a gem as beautiful as this one before!
Sérgio: Even so, I don't understand why it's so protected...
Dual ParaSerge: It's because it's not just a regular gem.
Sérgio: It's not?
Dual ParaSerge: No. Without it, everything here will die. In other words, the gem powers up the island.
Sprit: Wow, it does all that?!?
Sérgia: That's amazing!
Dual ParaSerge: Well, actually it wasn't like this before...
Sérgio: What do you mean?
Dual ParaSerge: This island used to be powered up by special spirits, but after one of them betrayed us and turned evil...
Sérgia: Cyranos...
Chris: Who's Cyranos?
Sérgio: She's The Spirit. She killed Sérgia's mother.
Sérgia: Mom...
Serge: What, she was evil this whole time? Why did she give you powers then?
Sérgio: Actually, she unlocked my powers. Anyway, she did that so I could defeat Darkés, but...
Serge: Yeah, the he dies you die too thing... What did you do to her anyway?
Sérgio: Sérgia and I defeated her.
Serge: Really? Wow!
Sérgio: Yeah, but anyway... about what you were telling us about the gems, Dual ParaSerge...
Dual ParaSerge: Oh yeah, after the Cyranos incident, the spirits had to stop powering up the islands just in case more of them were to betray us again. But they left special gems in their place to power up the islands.
Sérgio: Hey, if we get them to guard the islands again, we can take the gems so Darkés can't get a hold of them!
Dual ParaSerge: It's not that simple...
Sérgio: What do you mean?
Dual ParaSerge: We're going to have to find away to contact the spirits... Hold on! I have an idea! But it might take a while. Come back here in the morning.
Sérgio: Alright. We should head back to the ship then...
