Bug Guardian
Ep.#02 - Guardian Angel

In the last episode, Que got the ability to communicate with bugs from a dream spirit for her kindness to them. She decides to use this ability to help bugs in ways she couldn't before. With the help of her new spider friend, she rebuilds an anthill that was recently destroyed by Jay and helps free ants that were trapped in piles of dirt (from the anthill). Will she be able to do extraordinary things with her new ability?

The next morning...

Spider: Good morning, Que!
Que: Good morning, Spider... *yawn*
Spider: What's wrong, Que? You're still sleepy?
Que: Yeah, I could barely get any sleep last night...
Spider: How come?
Que: I couldn't stop thinking about the Firefly Festival!
Spider: The Firefly Festival? What's that?
Que: It's the day that the fireflies come fly around the lake. Their lights reflecting off the water is so beautiful! *sigh* And it's tonight!
Spider: Well, you've got to go to school first...
Que: Ah, that's right! Goes to school. While she is getting to class, someone accidentally bumps into her. Ow...
?1: Oh, I'm so sorry! Are you okay?
Que: Yeah, I'm fine. Who are you? I never seen you around here before...
?1: I'm Dean.
Dean: I'm new to this school. I just moved to Htrae a few days ago.
Que: Oh, okay; that's why I've never seen you before. I'm Que, it's nice to meet you!
Spider: I hate to interupt but, you'll be late to class if you don't get there soon...
Que: Oh no, that's right! I'll see you later, Dean! Goes to her classroom.
Teacher: Good morning class, we have a new student today! Come on in!
Que: I wonder if it's Dean...
Dean: Enters the room.
Spider: You're right, it is Dean!
Teacher: Why don't you introduce yourself to the class?
Dean: All right, I'm Dean. I moved here from Scautry.
Students: *gasp*
Que: Wow! I knew he was from a different region, but I didn't know it was one so far away...
Teacher: Wow, that must've been some trip!
Dean: Yeah, it took a really long time to get here...
Teacher: Anyway, sit over there so we can start class.
Dean: All right. Sits at the table Que was sitting at.
Jay: (Poor guy, has to sit at Que's table...)
Que: Hi, Dean!
Dean: Oh, it's you; what a coincidence! ...uh, it's still there...
Que: Huh? What is?
Dean: There's a spider on your shoulder.
Que: Oh yeah, he's my friend Spider!
Dean: Friend?
Que: Uh huh! ...you probably think that's weird...
Dean: Oh no, no! It's not weird...
Que: That's okay; everyone thinks I'm weird...
Dean: I don't think you're weird, Que.
Que: R-really? Thanks!

After classes were over...

Teacher: Okay, class is over. Remember not to...
Students: Yay!

All the students rushed out of the room.

Teacher: ...rush. *sigh* Not again...

A few hours later, at Que's house...

Que: He's a nice guy, isn't he? He doesn't think I'm weird! Maybe everyone from Scautry is that nice...
Spider: Yeah, I wonder if he'll be at the Firefly Festival. When does it start anyway?
Que: The Firefly Festival?!? Omigosh, I almost forgot! It's going to start soon, I'd better get going... Goes to the Firefly Festival, which is taking place at a lake near her school. Here we are! ...huh?
Spider: What's wrong, Que?
Que: There aren't any fireflies around the lake...
Spider: Maybe they aren't here yet.
Que: No, I saw them here yesterday...
?2: Help us!
Que: Huh? What was that?
Spider: It's coming from those bottles over there.
Que: Goes to look at the bottles. There were fireflies trapped inside.
Fireflies: Someone please get us out of here!
Que: Don't worry, I help you! Opens all of the bottles.
Fireflies: Thank you, little girl!
Que: Your welcome.
Fireflies: Wait, you understand what we're saying?
Que: Yes, that's right!
Fireflies: Then you must be the next Bug Guardian!
Que: A group of ants told me the same thing...
Fireflies: Well we'd better get going, we have to get to the Firefly Festival.
Que: Okay, bye!

The fireflies flew away.

Que: Now the Firefly Festival can start!
Spider: The fireflies didn't even notice me, did they?
Que: It was probably too dark for them to see you...
Spider: Hey, what's that sound?
Que: Huh?

They heard someone walking towards them. All of a sudden, that person tripped and fell in the lake!

Que: Oh no, that person fell in the lake!
Spider: I think that person was stalking you.
Que: But he didn't look any taller than me...
Spider: It must've been that kid who wrecked the anthill yesterday.
Que: You mean Jay? He wouldn't do something like that! Anyway, it doesn't matter, we should still save him. He could be drowning!
Fireflies: We'll help you!
Que: Turns around and sees the fireflies behind her. Really, how?
Fireflies: We'll fly!
Que: Huh?

The fireflies gathered together in the shape of wings and grabbed onto Que's back. Then they started flying in the air.

Que: I-I'm flying!
Fireflies: Where is he?
Que: Over there! Flies to the guy who fell in the lake and picked him up. She flies away from the lake and places him on the ground. Are you okay?
Spider: Hey, isn't that Dean?
Que: Yeah, you're right!
Dean: Uh... what? A-are you an angel?
Que: Huh, what are you talking about? Looks up and sees some of the fireflies above her shaped like a halo. Huh? *giggle*
Spider: Que, maybe we should get going... Maybe it's best he doesn't know about you being able to communicate with bugs.
Que: Why not?
Spider: I heard that the last Bug Guardian kept it a secret so that no one would make her use her powers for bad things...
Que: Oh, all right... Goodbye Dean, and be careful! Flies away.
Dean: How did she know my name? Whatever... zzz... Falls asleep, sitting next to a tree.
