Ep.#02 - Another Loved One Lost

Tal received a glowing sweatshirt from a guy named Samaha because he says he's the "chosen one". Later, his mom gives him a calming sphere to help him get through his father's death. But right now he should be focusing on the loved ones he still has rather than the loved ones that are gone...

Mom: Tal, are you ready to go to school?
Tal: Yeah, let's go.
Mom: Drives him to school.
Tal: Okay, see you later mom!
Mom: Bye, sweetie! Drives away.
Tal: Turns around and sees Samaha behind him. Ah! You scared me!
Samaha: Yah're coming, right? I see yah're wearing the sweatah, mahn...
Tal: Going where?
Samaha: To the Flora Kingdom of cahse! Yah're the only one who cahn save it!
Tal: I know, you told me yesterday. I have school now, I can't just leave...
Samaha: W-wait, mahn! Our kingdom is in grave dangah! Please, I'm begging yah...
Tal (annoyed): Leave me alone! If you don't stop following me, I'll call the cops! Runs into the school.
Samaha: But yah're the chosen one...

After school, Tal's mom came to pick him up as usual. Tal first checked to see if Samaha was still around, then went in the car.

Tal: Heh, you're here early!
Mom: Oh come on, I was only late yesterday!
Tal: I know, I'm only kidding!
Mom: By the way, why were you looking around the school? Were you expecting someone?
Tal: Huh? No, it was nothing...
Mom: Okay, if you say so...

Tal and his mom arrive at their house. A few hours later, they sat at the table for dinner.

Mom: I'm happy I still have you, Tal. If I didn't, I would get lonely since your father isn't around.
Tal: But the only reason he's gone is because of me...
Mom: Tal! How many times have I told you to stop talking like that?
Tal: Sorry, mom. But it's true...

All of a sudden, the ceiling caught on fire.

Tal: Oh no! How did that happen?!?
Mom: Don't worry, I'll get the fire extinguisher. Stay here! Leaves the room.
Tal: O-okay...

While his mom was gone, the walls started to catch on fire.

Tal: W-why is this happening again?!? I-I must be dreaming...
Mom: TAL!!!
Tal: Mom! Where are you? Runs into the room where his mom went and sees her holding a fire extinguisher.
Mom: Sprays some of the fire away. We have to get out of the house! I already called the firefighters.
Tal: O-okay! Leaves the house. (Oh no, mom didn't follow me!) Mom! Where did you go? Tries to run back into the house, but someone stops him.
?1: Where do you think you're going?
Tal: Huh?

There was someone wearing a cloak floating behind him.

?1: Hand it over!
Tal: Hand what over?
?1: If you won't give it to me, then I'll have to kill you... A ball of energy appears in their hand.
Tal: Huh?!?
Mom: TAL!!!

Tal's mom hit the cloaked person with the extinguisher, but the cloaked person retaliates.

?1: Ow! ... It sounds like other people are coming. I'd better get out of here... Disappears.
Tal: Mom! Are you okay? Answer me!
Mom: Doesn't respond.
Tal: MOM! MOM! C'mon, wake up!
?2: It's no use, mahn...
Tal: Samaha?
Samaha: Standing in front of Tal. She's gone, mahn...
Tal (crying): No... *sniff*
Samaha: All this is meh fault. If I hadn't given yah the sweatah, then...
Tal (crying): No, it's my fault. If I hadn't accepted it; heck, if I hadn't even been born... both of them sacrificed themselves because of me... why... IS MY LIFE THAT IMPORTANT?!?
Samaha: It wahs to them... hey, where are yah goin' mahn?!?
Tal: Walks up to the fire. If my life is making everyone I care about die, then... I'll just get rid of my life!
Samaha: No! If yah do that, then their sacrifices would hahve been fah nothin' mahn! Think about what yah're doin'!
Tal: ... Who was that monster...?
Samaha: That wahs the evil that is taking ovah our kingdom, mahn.
Tal: Then why did it try to attack me, then? Just to get this sweatshirt? Or is it because I'm the "chosen one"?
Samaha: I don't know, mahn. But this evil will do the same to the residents of the Flora Kingdom, unless yah...
Tal: Unless I save it, right?
Samaha: ...
Tal: Guess that's that, then. I'll do it.
Samaha: Huh? Yah mean yah'll...
Tal: Yes, I'll stop that evil, if I have the power. I won't let it get away with killing innocent people, especially my mom!

And so begins Tal's adventure into the Flora Kingdom to stop the evil that killed his mother...
