Ep.#05 - Not So Mellow

Tal and the others manage to find a place to hide from the evil. While entering the tower, Tal accidentally trips and bruises his leg, but Lotus uses her powers to heal it. However, her powers aren't healing; she can only transfer wounds from one person to herself. So she must rest in bed so the wound can heal on its own. / Tal's flashback...

Tal: In his house, which is on fire. W-what's happening?!? Someone help me!
?1: TAL! I'M COMING! Tal's dad, who was a fireman, comes into the room spraying the fire with a fire extinguisher.
Tal: Runs up to him. Dad, what's going on?
Dad: We have to get out of here! This way!
Tal/Dad: Run out of the room. Part of the ceiling falls down above them, but Tal's dad covers Tal so he doesn't get hurt.
Dad: Urgh!
Tal: D-dad! Are you okay?
Dad: I-I'll be fine... Just get out of here! Hurry!
Tal: But what about you?
Dad: I'll catch up with you later, don't worry...
Tal: O-okay... Starts to leave, but stops when another piece of the ceiling falls down.
Dad: (Tal... Please leave a good life... without me... Goodbye...)
Tal (crying): DAD!!!

The burning piece of the ceiling falls down of Tal's dad.

Tal (crying): NO!!! Tries to help his dad, but is grabbed by a fireman.
Fireman: It's too dangerous over there, you'll get burnt!
Tal (crying): B-but dad...
Fireman (shocked): Your dad is in there?!?
Tal (crying): Yeah, we have to save him before...
Fireman: It's too late... I'm sorry...
Tal (crying): NO!!!
Fireman: Grabs Tal and gets out of the building.

End of flashback.

Tal: ...
Samaha: Yahlright, mahn?
Tal: It's nothing...
Samaha: Is yah leg doin' okay too?
Tal: My leg? ...oh yeah, it's already better.
Samaha: Wow, yah a fast healah mahn! That's good.
Lotus (limping): Comes into the room Tal and Samaha are in. G-good morning...
Tal: Good morning, Lotus!
Samaha: Don't jus call her by her first name, mahn! Show some respect!
Lotus: That's alright, Samaha. I don't mind... ah! Trips, but Tal catches her. *blush* T-thank you...
Tal (blushing): No p-problem...
Samaha: Are you alright, princess?
Lotus (limping): Y-yeah, I'm fine... Sits down.
?2: Hello! Why did you run away from me, Mellow?
Tal: Huh?
Mellow: Appears on top of a wall of the balcony.
Tal: It's that weird rhymy dude again!
Mellow: Is that any way to treat an old friend? Being nice to each other is an eternal trend!
Tal: What do you want?
Mellow: Capturing the princess is what I'm going to do. I'm also here to defeat you, too!
Samaha (shocked): What?!?
Tal: I thought you were our "friend".
Mellow: Hey, my master commanded me. We can still be friends, can't we?
Samaha: Who exactly is yah mahsta anyway, mahn?
Mellow: Her name I cannot tell, but I believe she is referred to as "the evil"... who is able to cast a big spell!
Lotus (shocked): The evil?!?
Samaha: Shoulda known, mahn.
Tal: I'd never be friends with someone who works for the evil!
Mellow: You don't to be friends, oh well. I guess I won't feel bad if you go to h-...
Tal: Would you quit rhyming already?!? It's getting really annoying!
Mellow: Without rhyming this would be boring. I don't want to hear any snoring!
Tal: Just shut up! Turns his sleeves into a mallet to attack Mellow with.
Mellow: Disappears and reappears behind him. You're too slow... Kicks Tal off of the balcony. ...even to dodge that blow!
Lotus: Tal, no!
Samaha: Does he hahve the powah of teleportation, mahn? This isn't good...
Tal: Turns his sleeves into a parachute.
Mellow: You think your powers make you look cool... Teleports above Tal and prepares a kick. ...but I can attack from above, you fool!
Tal: Turns around to face Mellow. SHUT... Turns his sleeves into a cannon and fires at him. ...UP! Lands safely on the ground.
Mellow: Appears up on the balcony unharmed.
Tal (shocked): What?!?
Mellow: I'm not done yet, so how about we make a bet?
Tal: What's your bet?
Mellow: If you manage to hurt me, which will be a great feat, then I will admit defeat!
Tal: Sounds good to me...
Mellow: But if you miss me 5 times, then I'll turn your friends into mimes!
Tal: What?!?
Mellow: Kidding. But miss me 5 times you do, and I'll take the princess... and bid you adieu.
Tal: No problem; I'll only need one shot!
Lotus: But Tal...
Tal: (You can teleport all you want, but you have to attack me sooner or later...)
Mellow: Teleports and prepares a kick.
Tal: (Now!) Shoots, but Mellow teleports before it connects. (Darn it, how does he know?)
Samaha: Tal, pay attention! Don't just fiah randomly, mahn! Focus!
Mellow: Kicks Tal in the back. If you stay still like you're full of glue then I'm going to hit you!
Tal: Grrr! Fires again but misses again. Darn it! (How am I supposed to hit him if he keeps on moving! If only there were a way to... wait! He didn't say how I had to hurt him...) Heheh...
Mellow: What's so funny? You can't hit me, I'm as fast as a bunny! Prepares another kick.
Tal: ...
Lotus: (Why isn't he dodging?)
Mellow: Kicks Tal in the chest. Don't give up yet, or I win the bet!
Tal: Who said I was giving up? Wraps Mellow's leg with his sleeves. Gotcha.
Mellow: Just because you tied my leg with a rope doesn't mean there's any hope!
Tal: It's not a rope... Electrocutes himself, hurting Mellow in the process.
Mellow: Grahhh! Collapses.
Tal: Urgh... *huff* I-it was an electric cable...
Mellow: Lying on the ground. But it also made you feel pain. What does it let you gain?
Tal: What do I gain? I win the bet, you stupid rhyming idiot! And I only needed three tries! And compared to the pain of losing my parents, that electric shock was nothing... I still have plenty of energy left to finish you!
Mellow: Please spare me, even though you still have two shots because you only used three...
Lotus: (Tal...)
Tal: ...get out here. And never come near us ever again. Lay off the rhyming too. Goes back inside the tower.
Lotus: (Thank goodness, Tal isn't that type of person... The type that kills others for their own benefit...)
Mellow: Thank you, Tal... But you'd better watch out for Kal... Disappears.

Tal is successful in defending Lotus against Mellow. Will Mellow listen to Tal and never bother them again? Or will he return? We'll just have to wait and see...
