Element Temp Ep.#11 - The Haunted Woods

Since it was their parents week off, Julius and Sarah went camping with their family. Julius and Stat thinks there might be a Element Orb near the campsite, so Julius decides to invite Rei too. But she gets upset and disagrees to help. ...but why?Rei: Sitting on a log, crying. *sniff*
Statette: Rei, what's wrong?
Rei: Wipes her face. N-nothing, I'm fine...
Sarah: Hey Rei, want to help me set up our tent?
Rei: Sure, Sarah. Gets up to help her.
Sarah: Thanks. Julius wouldn't help me 'cause he said he had to find something...
Rei (angry): (My gosh, what's so special about that stupid orb?!?)
Sarah: Is something wrong?
Rei: Huh? No, nothing's wrong...
They had finished setting up the tent.Sarah: There, now to get the sleeping bags!
Rei: Need some help?
Sarah: No, it's okay. But can you look for Julius? He needs to help out too.
Rei: Sure, no problem. Did he tell you where he went?
Sarah: I don't know, sorry...
Rei: What did he talk to you about then? You guys seemed to be talking for a while...
Sarah: He was just asking me if I knew why you were upset and stuff like that...
Rei (angry): (What?!? He doesn't even realize why I was upset! That jerk!) Runs off.
Sarah: W-where are you going?
Rei: To look for your brother! Runs into the woods.
Sarah: (I wonder if they had a fight...)
Rei: (That's it! I'll look for it myself!) Hey, Statette!
Statette: What is it, Rei?
Rei: Do you know what Element Orbs are?
Statette: Yeah, they're orbs that help you use elements. But why do you... oh Rei, I sense one nearby!
Rei: I know, I need you to help me look for it.
Statette: We should get Julius and Stat's help...
Rei: No, I want to find it before they do!
Statette: But shouldn't we be working together?
Rei (angry): Just tell me where it is!
Statette: O-okay... It's over t-there... Points to the right side of Rei.
Rei: Okay, let's go! Runs toward the direction of the orb.
A while later...Rei (tired): *huff* Is it around here?
Statette: Yes, but I don't know where we are...
Rei: Where is it?
Statette: A little farther ahead of us...
Rei: Alright! Runs forward.
Statette: W-wait, Rei! There's something else I need to tell you!
Rei: What?
?: Ghahhh!
Statette: These woods are...
A bunch of ghosts started surrounding Rei.Statette (scared): ...h-haunted...
Rei (shaking): G-ghosts?
Ghosts: Ghahhh!
Statette: (scared): Rei, I'm s-scared... Clings onto Rei's arm.
Rei: Let's get out of here! Runs forward again.
Statette: W-wait! Why aren't we going back?
Rei: I still have to look for the orb!
Statette: Rei, watch out!
Rei: Gets grab by a ghost. Ahhh!
Statette: REI!!!
Meanwhile, with Julius and Stat...Julius: Stat, is the orb close by?
Stat: Yes, but there's something else...
Julius: Something else? Is it a monster?
Stat: No, it seems different... But be careful just in case.
Julius: Right! Walked a little further until he reached a shrine in a clearing. There was a pink light coming from the shrine.
Stat: There! The orb!
Julius: Runs toward the orb, but something stops him.
Someone was floating in thin air.Stat: Who's that?
Julius: It's Rei!
Statette: Stat, help!
Julius: But how are you...
Stat: That strange energy is coming from right in front of you, Julius...
Julius: Strange energy?
?: Ghahhh!
Julius: What was that?
A giant ghost appeared in front of them, holding an unconscious Rei in its hand.Julius: Huh?!?
Stat: It's a monster!
Julius: A monster?!?
Stat: Yes, it was concealing itself by turning invisible!
Julius: Well, this monster will pay for what it did to Rei! ...but I forgot to bring my stuff with me...
Stat: Julius, try to get the orb in the shrine! I'll distract it!
Julius: Okay! Runs toward the shrine.
Ghost Monster: Ghahhh! Tries to grab Julius.
Stat: Take this! Tackles its arm.
Ghost Monster: Ghahhh!
Julius: Grabs the orb. Huh? There's a heart inside it. I wonder what element that is...
Stat: Flies to Julius. Got the orb?
Julius: Yeah.
Stat: Gives Julius some grass. Here. Let's put this stuff in the staff.
Julius: 'kay! Puts the orb and the grass in then transforms.
Stat: Hm, this is interesting... It also explains why this monster was guarding the orb...
Temp: So Stat, what element do I get from the orb?
Stat: It gives you Love Power, one of few elements that is strong against ghosts. In fact the only other types strong against ghosts are Light, Dark, and Life; which are very hard elements to find.
Temp: So should I use it?
Stat: Yes, especially since Leaf Power isn't good against ghosts. I only got the grass as a back-up.
Temp: 'kay, Love Power! Changes to Love Mode.
Temp: Gah! I look so... pink! And how do I even use it?
Stat: You'll see; just say Love Power...
Temp: Love Power! Shoots hearts at the monster.
Ghost Monster: Ghahhh! Drops Rei.
Statette: Oh no, Rei!
Temp: Catches Rei before she falls.
Ghost Monster: Ghahhh!
Temp (angry; holding Rei): LOVE POWER! Shoots hearts at the Ghost Monster.
Ghost Monster: GHAHHH! Explodes.
Rei: Wakes up. ...huh?
Temp (holding Rei): Are you alright?
Rei (blushing): T-Temp?
Temp (holding Rei): You're okay! Thank goodness!
Rei: Why are you holding me? And why are you all... pink?
Temp: Puts Rei down and returns to normal. The orb falls on the ground so Julius picks it up.
Julius: You got captured by a Ghost Monster so I used Love Power to save you.
Rei: L-love Power?
Stat: From the orb.
Statette: The monster dropped you so Julius caught you before you hit the ground.
Rei: Oh, I see... Thanks for saving me...
Julius: No problem! That's what friends are for!
Rei: F-friend? Starts crying. *sniff*
Julius: Rei, are you alright?
Rei (crying): ...
Julius: If it was something I said before, then I'm sorry... Please stop crying...
Rei: Wipes her face. It's just that I don't really have anyone that cares about me... So when you said that the only reason you invited me was to help you look for the orb, it made me really sad...
Julius: Oh, I'm sorry... But don't your parents care about you?
Rei: I don't have any parents... They were killed... By The One...
Julius (shocked): W-what?!?
Stat: The One killed your parents?
Rei: Yes, it's the whole reason that I agreed to help you destroy the monsters; that I agreed to use the powers of Element Temp... So I can have revenge against The One... She'll pay... for killing my entire family...
Julius: You have no family? Then who takes care of you?
Statette: No one; she takes care of herself. She was all alone until she met me.
Julius: I had no idea... You were so lonely... ...Rei, that wasn't the real reason...
Rei: Huh?
Julius: Looking for the orb, I mean. I just used that as an excuse so you could come with us.
Rei: Really?
Julius: Yeah, but I thought you'd prefer I tell you otherwise. Sorry...
Rei: ...so you really wanted me to come, just for the heck of it?
Julius: Yeah, pretty much...
Rei: *giggle* Let's head back, they must be worried about us.
Julius: Oh yeah, I almost forgot! Let's go!
They all headed back.Julius: (I had no idea things were this serious... The One, I have no idea why you're doing what you're doing, but I won't let you get away with this!)
