Statette: At Rei's house with Rei. Yesterday was a lot of fun, wasn't it Rei?
Rei: Unpacking her stuff. Yeah, I guess... I even got some my summer reading done... Huh? Takes the Love Orb from her bag. Huh? Why do I have this?
Statette: Should we give it back?
Rei: Yeah, let's go. Goes through the forest with Statette.
Statette: I can't wait to see Stat aga-...
Rei: OH NO!!!
Statette: W-what's wrong, Rei?
Rei (shaking): I-I forgot to put on bug repellant...
Statette: Don't worry, it's not that hot today. There shouldn't be that many bugs around.
Rei (shaking): A-are you sure...?
Statette: Yeah... what's wrong? Are you scared of bugs?
Rei (shaking): O-of course not! Don't be ridiculous!
Statette: Okay, if you say so...
Rei (shaking): (Why is it taking so long to reach Temp's house? Did the forest get bigger recently?) Drops the Love Orb behind her. A-ah... Picks it up.
?1: Taps her shoulder.
Rei: KYAHHH!!!
Julius: I'm sorry, did I scare you?
Rei: O-oh, it's just you... What're you doing here?
Julius: Oh, you do have it! I've been looking everywhere for that! Takes the Love Orb from Rei. Were you coming over to give it back?
Rei: Yeah...
Julius: Thanks.
Rei: Don't mention it... Listen, do you have any bug repellant?
Julius: No, why?
Rei: N-no reason! Well, I'm gonna go home now...
Julius: Do you want to come over?
Rei: Heh, no thanks... See ya... Sprints home.
Statette: W-wait, Rei! Flies after her.
Julius: (Why was she acting so strange...?)
Rei: At home. Phew, that was close...
Statette: Why did you run away from Julius?
Rei: It's not him, it's the bugs...
Statette: The bugs? What about them?
Rei: You see, when I was little...
Flashback... (4 years ago...)Rei: Runs to her house, which is still being built. Hey daddy, I brought you some food! Looks inside for her dad. Daddy? Where are you, daddy? Sits down in a corner. I can't find him anywhere... The sun shines brightly on her through a window. It's so warm... So sleepy... Falls asleep. Zzz...
A few hours later...Rei: Wakes up. Huh? Oh, I feel asleep... Sees bugs all around her. W-wha? Bugs! Why are there bugs everywhere?!? Shoo, bugs! G-get away... Starts crying. Waaah!
?2: Comes in and steps on some of the bugs. Wow, there sure are a lot of bugs in this room... Little sis! Picks her up. What's wrong?
Rei (crying): G-Grasse... The bugs were gonna eat me... *sniff*
Grasse: Hugs Rei. Don't worry, the bugs won't eat you. I won't let them.
Rei: Stops crying. *sniff* Grasse...
End flashback.Rei: The bugs scared me, but I knew Grasse would protect me... But then, the next day... She was killed in a rock slide...
Statette: Oh... I'm sorry...
Rei: Ever since then, I've been scared of bugs... Sprays herself with repellant. But with this, they won't get near me.
Statette: Rei, are you going to go to Julius's house now?
Rei: Why?
Statette: I think he wanted you to go over.
Rei: R-really? Are you sure?
Statette: Yeah, we should go!
Rei: Wait a second; you just want me to go so you can see Stat again, am I right?
Statette: Heh heh... Yeah...
Rei: *sigh* Let's go...
Statette: Yay!
Rei/Statette: Go to Julius's house. Julius is in the front yard.
Julius: Oh Rei, you came...
Rei: Yeah, I left before because I needed to get something. You said I could come over, right?
Julius: Yeah, thanks. I really wanted you to come over today...
Rei (blushing): R-really?
Julius: Yeah... I was hoping you would help me with my summer reading...
Rei: *sweatdrop* You can't be serious... *sigh* (I should've expected it'd be something like this...)
Stat: Comes out of Julius's house. Julius, I...
Statette: Stat! Tries to hug Stat, but he dodges. She crashes into a wall. Ouchies!
Stat: ...sense a monster!
Statette: I-I sense one, too... In the forest...
Julius: Hold on, my stuff is inside...
Rei: Don't worry, I brought my own stuff with me. I'll share some with you.
Julius: Thanks! Gets a rock, some dirt, grass, and a battery from Rei. Hey, let's have Sarah help too. This is a good time for her to try using the Life Orb.
Stat: Good idea. Gets Sarah outside.
Sarah: Yay, I'm going to help brother!
Stat: Remember to take things seriously.
Sarah: I will!
Julius: They all go to the forest to look for the monster. Where is it?
Stat: It's close... It's...
Bug Monster: Flying above them. Buaahhhh!!!
Stat: ...above us...
Julius: A bug, huh? Shouldn't be too difficult! Puts the rock, dirt, grass, and the battery in and transforms.
Temp: Let's do this, Rei! ...Rei?
Rei (shaking): Curled up in a ball near a tree. B-bug... G-giant bug...
Temp: Rei, what's wrong? Bug Monster: Buaahhhh!!! Flies down towards Temp.
Stat: Worry about her later; take care of the monster first!
Temp: Right! Stone Power! Transforms and makes a rock barrier to block the bug.
Sarah: Holding the Life Orb. Um... How do I use this?
Stat: Just concentrate your energy into the orb and you should be able to use it.
Sarah: Okay, I'll try... Life Orb, let me help my brother! The Life Orb turns into a staff. Huh?
Stat: Good job, you got it to work!
Bug Monster: Buaahhhh!!! Breaks through the barrier.
Temp: Darn it! Thunder Power! Switches modes and shoots electricity at the monster.
Bug Monster: Buaahhhh!!! Flies towards Rei.
Temp: Rei, it's going towards you!
Rei (shaking): E-eh?
Statette: Rei, hurry and transform!
Rei (scared): Puts a match, a rock, dirt, grass, and a feather into her staff and transforms. Fly Power! Switches modes and flies away. I've never used this power before! H-how do I control myself?!?
Bug Monster: Buaahhhh!!!
Rei (scared): N-no, stay away from me! Continuiously waves her staff at the monster.
Statette: Rei, why aren't you fighting it? It'll go away if you destroy it!
Rei (scared): Lands. Stone Power! Makes a stone shell around herself. I-it's gonna eat me... G-Grasse... Starts crying.
Statette: Rei...
Bug Monster: Buaahhhh!!!
Statette: ...don't worry, I'll protect you, Rei! Flies towards the Bug Monster. Leave Rei alone, you mean bug!
Rei: Statette...
Bug Monster: Attacks Statette, knocking her into a tree.
Statette: Ow! Lying on the ground.
Rei: STATETTE!!! The rock barrier disappeared.
Statette: M-my power is weakening...
Rei (angry): Y-you... stupid bug! How dare you hurt Statette! Switches to Fire Mode. FIRE POWER!!! Burns the bug.
Bug Monster: BBUUAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Explodes.
Rei: Returns to normal. Statette! Picks up Statette. Statette... Hugs her. This is all my fault... I'm so sorry... Starts crying.
Temp: Runs up to Rei with Stat and Sarah. What happened? Do you destroy the monster?
Rei (crying): I-it's all my fault... Statette got hurt because of me...
Stat: What?!?
Sarah: Heal! Waves her staff near Statette and heals her.
Statette: Wakes up. Huh? Rei?
Rei (crying): Statette! I'm so happy you're okay...
Temp: Returns to normal. Sarah, you did it!
Stat: Her power is back to normal now. Good job, Sarah.
Sarah (blushing): T-thanks...
The One: Levitating above them. Rei's power against that monster even without her Element Spirit was enough to defeat it... And now they have a healer, too... I should turn things up a notch... Heheh... Disappears.
Rei was able to overcome her fear and defeat the Bug Monster, thanks to Statette. Luckily for them, Sarah was able to heal Statette's injuries. But is it true that the monsters will be tougher from now on...?
