Ep.#09 - Battle at the Beach

Temp and Rei finally meet The One, the creator of the evil monsters. The monster they had to face ambushed them and ended up capturing Temp, so she thought this was an opportune moment to capture him. But Temp used his remaining power to free himself and defeat the monster. It was a close call, but Temp made it out okay. Because of this, Julius has gone out into the forest to prepare himself...

Julius: Gets a bag and puts dirt and a rock inside. There, now to find some grass...
Stat: What are you doing, Julius?
Julius: Well, I always seem to worry about finding elements to use against monsters. So I thought that I should just prepare beforehand. After all, if I'm going to have to learn how to use 25 elements then I should be more prepared.
Stat: That's a great idea! That way you'll be able to use more than before and still get to the monster on time!
Julius: Exactly!
Stat: But there's a lot of things that you can't hold in that bag you know... Like ice, for example.
Julius: Hm... Maybe I could put some in a water bottle or something...
Sarah: Runs up to them. Hey, guys!
Julius: Hey, Sarah!
Sarah: Brother, what are you doing?
Julius: Looking for stuff to make elements with.
Sarah: Why? Is there a monster you need to fight now?
Julius: No, but I'm getting prepared for when that happens.
Sarah: Oh, can I help?
Julius: Sure; could you help me look for a feather? I've been trying to find one but I haven't been so lucky...
Sarah: 'kay! Runs off to look for a feather.
Stat: You know, maybe you should tell Rei to do this too.
Julius: Grabs some grass and puts it in the bag. Yeah, especially since she doesn't use that many elements at once...
Sarah: Comes back. Found one!
Julius: Wow, already! Good job!
Sarah: Puts the feather in the bag. You know, I'm surprised you got up so early today, brother!
Julius: Yeah, I couldn't sleep anymore; it's too hot today...
Sarah/Stat: Should've known...
Sarah: Hey, I have an idea! We should go to the beach!
Julius: The beach?
Sarah: Yeah, and let's invite Rei too! But you'd better not sleep all day like you did last time!
Julius: Heheh, I have no idea what you're talking about...
Rei: Walks up to them. Hey!
Stat: That was a coincidence...
Sarah: Hey, Rei! What're you doing here?
Rei: Since today was a nice day I decided to go for a walk.
Statette: We were going to practice our powers too, right? You know, after what happened yesterday...
Sarah: What happened yesterday?
Julius: We had a really tough fight with a monster...
Sarah: Oh yeah, you told me you fought a monster yesterday.
Rei: Anyway, what's with the bag?
Julius: I'm collecting stuff to make elements so I can be more prepared to fight monsters.
Statette: Wow, good idea! We should do that too, Rei!
Rei: (Why didn't I think of that?) Alright, I will...
Sarah: Oh yeah, there's something I wanted to ask you.
Rei: What?
Sarah: Since it's such a nice day, we were thinking about going to the beach! You want to come?
Rei: Sure, I guess. I actually live near the beach...
Julius: Really?
Sarah: Okay, then we'll meet you there!
Statette: Yay, we're going to have so much fun!

They got ready then went to the beach.

Statette: Yay! We're here!
Stat: Statette, there are other people here! You have to stay hidden! Goes in Julius's staff.
Statette: Aw man! Goes in Rei's staff.
Sarah: Don't worry, I have an idea! Let's go swimming!
Statette: But I have to stay hidden...
Sarah: Then you can swim with me while in the staff! Takes the staff from Rei and goes in the water with it.
Julius/Rei: Put a mat down to lay on.
Stat: Hey Rei, do you think it's weird seeing someone swimming with a giant thermometer?
Rei: Meh, I've seen weirder...
Sarah: Calls out to Rei. Rei, can you make sure Julius doesn't fall asleep?
Rei: Sure...
Julius (sleeping): Zzz...
Rei: ... Grabs Julius's staff and hits his head with it.
Julius: Ow!
Rei: Hmph, don't doze off!
Stat: You guys!
Julius: ...huh? Is it getting dark already?
Rei: Hm?

It got darker all of a sudden, which caused the people to leave. But it wasn't the clouds; it was the shadow of a monster!

Sand Monster: Saahhh!
Julius: A monster!
Stat: That's what I was trying to tell you!
Rei: Oh no, I'm not prepared! And there's nothing but dirt and water around here!
Julius: Don't worry, I'll let you borrow some of mine.
Stat: Give her some grass; it's good against it.
Julius: 'kay! Gives her some grass. He gives her the rock too.
Rei: Hey Sarah, Statette! Get over here! And bring some water with you!
Sarah: 'kay! Grabs a pail and puts water in it.
Sand Monster: Blocks Sarah. Saahhh!
Stat: Oh no, Sarah's in danger!
Julius: Don't worry, I have an idea! Puts the feather, some sand, and the rest of the grass in the staff then transforms.
Temp: Fly Power! Changes to Fly Mode.
Temp: Flies to Sarah, grabs her, and brings her back.
Sarah: Here, Rei! Gives Rei the pail and her staff.
Rei: Puts the water, the grass, some dirt, and the rock in the staff then transforms. Leaf Power! Changes to Leaf Mode.
Rei: Leaf Power! Shoots sharp leaves at the monster.
Temp (flying): Fly Power! Shoots sharp feathers at it.
Sand Monster: Saahhh! Shoots sand at Rei.
Temp (flying): Rei!
Rei: Covered in sand. Gah! I can't get out of here!
Statette: Rei, I think water is good against sand...
Rei: Good idea! Changes to Water Mode.
Rei: Water Power! Shoots a jet of water to get rid of the sand. Take this, you stupid pile of gravel! Water Power! Shoots a jet of water at the Sand Monster.
Sand Monster: Saahhh!
Temp: I have a plan, but I'll need your help.
Rei: What's your plan?
Temp: Whispers the idea to Rei.
Rei: Okay, got it.
Temp: Switches to Earth Mode.
Sand Monster: Saahhh?
Rei: Water Power! Shoots a jet of water at its feet.
Temp: Earth Power! Creates a crack in the ground below the Sand Monster. Because its feet were wet, the Sand Monster couldn't move.
Sand Monster (struggling): Saahhh!
Temp: Switches to Leaf Power.
Temp: Leaf Power! Shoots sharp leaves at it.
Rei: Water Power! Shoots water at it.
Sand Monster: SAAHHH!!! Explodes.
Rei: See ya! Changes back to normal.
Temp: Changes back to normal.
Sarah: Aw man, it's already time to go home!
Statette: Oh well, we still got to have fun!
Julius: Yeah, let's get going.

They all go home.

Julius and the others go to the beach only to end up facing a monster! But since he was prepared, Julius and Rei handled it with ease! Will their fights with monsters always be easy? Or will it get harder for them here on out?
