Indigo the Witch
Episode #12 - Fireworks Show
Written by: CS-Masyet
Sharp searches the woods for Indigo. When he finds her, he tells her he told his family about her being a witch. Indigo thinks they will hate her now, so she tries to run away again. She ends up tripping on a root and hurting her leg. Sharp promises that he'll always be her friend and carries her back home.
Sharp: In the kitchen, putting cereal in a bowl.
Indigo: Comes downstairs, to the kitchen. *yawn* Morning, Sharp...
Sharp: Actually, it's already the afternoon...
Indigo: Really?
Sharp: Yeah... Did you sleep well? Is your leg okay?
Indigo: Yeah, my leg's fine...
Sharp: That's good. I put your cereal in your bowl for you.
Indigo: Oh, thanks. Sits down at the table and starts eating her cereal.
Mom: Comes in the room. Hey, you two!
Doug: Comes in the room. Hey...
Indigo: Um... did Sharp tell you?
Mom: Tell me what? About you being a witch? Yes, he did.
Indigo: Do you hate me now?
Mom: What?!? Of course not! You're like a part of the family!
Indigo: R-really?
Mom: Of course! I know you aren't like the other witches, Indigo. You're a good person.
Indigo: But the other witches aren't bad!
Mom: I mean in the legend. I'm sure the witches now are as nice as you are.
Doug: Well, that must be true. After all, we aren't having another war with them...
Sharp: The legend is wrong. The Witch World's legend is different.
Doug: Their legend is probably wrong, too.
Sharp: Maybe... Indigo, isn't your legend the opposite of ours? You said some witches view humans as wreckless savages, right?
Indigo: No, the legend has nothing to do with that.
Mom: Could you tell us your version of the legend?
Indigo: Yeah, okay. I don't remember every exact detail, though...
Sharp: Just try your best.
Indigo: A long time ago, a group of people found out how to use magic. They called themselves witches and warlocks. Everyone else had asked them to share their knowledge of magic with all the people of the world. The witches disagreed; they said it would be too dangerous to teach everyone else. Not just anyone can control magic, you see. But the humans didn't understand, and waged a war with the witches. Since they were outnumbered so greatly, the witches lost the war, and created another world for them to live in; the Witch World. ...and that's all I remember.
Doug: That sounds a lot more believable than the other version...
Mom: So that's what happened...
Sharp: Well, the witches would obviously know more about what happened, since they're the ones that made the magic.
Dad: Comes home with a box. I'm home!
Sharp: You got the stuff?
Dad: Yep, I got the stuff!
Mom: Really? You got the stuff?
Doug: The stuff, huh?
Indigo: What this "stuff"?
Sharp: The fireworks.
Indigo: Fireworks? What's that?
Sharp: You shoot the fireworks in the air, and they make an explosion of fire in the sky.
Indigo: Why would you want to do that? You could hurt yourself!
Sharp: Don't worry, it's not that dangerous! It's really fun, actually. Do you want to try?
Indigo: Well, if you say it's okay... Alright, why not?
Sharp: Okay; we just need to wait until it gets dark.
Indigo: Why?
Sharp: It's easier to see the fireworks that way.
Indigo: Oh, okay...
A few hours later...
Indigo: Is it dark enough now?
Sharp: Yeah, I think so. It's 20:00 now; it should be fine.
Indigo: Yay, let's go!
Indigo/Sharp: Go outside.
Indigo: So, how do we use these?
Sharp: Just light them up and they shoot into the air. Uh oh, I forgot to bring matches...
Indigo: Don't worry; I'll take care of this! Lights the firecrackers on fire with her magic. They created fireworks in the sky. Wow! Pretty!
Dad: Outside with everyone else. Wow, good job guys!
Sharp: It was actually just Indigo...
Indigo: I used my magic!
Doug: Hey, that's not fair...
Katie: In her mom's arms. Pwetty!
Mom: Wow Indigo, it's beautiful!
Indigo: All I did was light up the firecrackers...
Sharp: But you got it right on your first try!
Dad: Heheh, I remember the first time Doug lit them up...
Doug: *blush* Please don't bring that up...
All of a sudden, the rest of the firecrackers light up and fly all over the place.
Indigo: W-what's going on?!?
Doug: Indigo, what did you do?
Indigo: Nothing! I didn't touch the other ones!
Mom: Can you stop them?
Indigo: I can't if I don't know what caused this to happen!
Dad: Do you think that other witch did it?
Indigo: Fuchsia?
Sharp: Remembers something Fuchsia said the previous day: ("Just tell her that it'll be decided tomorrow night." Oh no, forgot to tell Indigo!) Indigo, I think it is Fuchsia! Try de-spelling the firecrackers!
Indigo: Alright; de-spell! Stops the firecrackers.
Sharp: Good job, Indigo.
Dad: Is Katie okay?
Katie: *giggle* Again, again!
Doug: Well at least she's not crying...
Sharp: Indigo, I need to talk to you...
Indigo: Alright, what is it?
Sharp: In private.
Indigo: Huh? Okay...
Sharp/Indigo: Go to the back of the house.
Indigo: Alright, what do you want to talk to me about?
Sharp: Fuchsia told me to tell you something...
Indigo: Fuchsia?!? You talked to her? When?
Sharp: She's the one that told me you were in the woods.
Indigo: Really? What did she want you to tell me?
Sharp: I don't know what it means, but... She said: "It will be decided tonight."
Indigo: Oh no! She doesn't mean...
Fuchsia: Appears in front of them. I see you finally got my message...
Indigo: Fuchsia...
Fuchsia: Takes out her rod. Time to settle this once and for all...
