Sharp: Oh, Fern.
Fern: What's up? How was your summer?
Sharp: It was pretty good.
Fern: Didn't you say you were going to do community service?
Sharp: Yeah. It wasn't what I was expecting though, but it was okay.
Fern: Oh, that's good. I wish I could have helped, but I had to take summer school...
Sharp: It was because you missed so many days, right? Because of your uncle?
Fern: Yeah...
Sharp: Don't get all gloomy on me. Things won't get better if you stay sad all the time.

Sharp: This is Fern. She's a childhood friend of mine.

Indigo: My dad said I could stay a little longer as long as I stayed with grandma.
Sharp: Your grandma?

After class, during lunch...Sharp: Opens his lunchbox.
Indigo: Hey Sharp, let's eat lunch together!

Indigo/Fern: *sigh* Okay... Both sit next to Sharp.
Sharp: Eats some of his lunch. Aren't you two going to ea-... eh?
Indigo/Fern: Glare at each other.
Sharp: Listen you guys... Fern, it's been a while and I'm happy to see you again. And Indigo, I'm happy that you didn't have to leave so soon. So why can't we all get along?
Fern: You're right, sorry...
Indigo: Me too...
Sharp: Good. I'm sure you two will become great frie-...

Indigo: Fruit punch!
Sharp: They don't sell fruit punch...
