Episode #04 - Mini-Kat

After Sharp's dad went to work, Indigo decided she wanted to go to a magic show. She even wanted to be part of it! Her trick was literally a blast; it went "through the roof." The announcer, Alan, was impressed by her trick and asked that she do it tomorrow. Indigo agreed of course, so Sharp knows now what she's going to do tomorrow. But what does she want to do for the rest of the day? It's still 15:00!

Sharp: Hey Doug, where's mom?
Doug: She went grocery shopping.
Sharp: Oh, okay...
Doug: Wait, where have you guys been anyway?
Sharp: Uh...
Indigo: Outside!
Doug: Oh...
Sharp: (Nice save, Indigo.) I guess I'll go check on Kat, then. Goes to Katie's room. (I'd better be quiet...)
Katie: Goo...
Sharp: Oh, you're awake.
Katie: Sha! ...goo?
Sharp: What's wrong?

What Kat was trying to tell Sharp is that Indigo was standing behind him.

Indigo: Boo!
Sharp: Ah!
Katie: *giggle*
Indigo: Did I scare you?
Sharp: Hmph, no...
Katie: Sha...
Sharp: Hm?
Katie: Up... Put her hands up in the air; she wanted him to pick her up.
Sharp: Picks her up.
Indigo: She can already say your name?
Sharp: Yeah; it was actually the first word she learned how to say...
Indigo: Really?
Sharp: Uh huh...

A few months ago... / Sharp just went into the living room and saw his mom and Katie sitting on a blanket on the floor while watching TV.

Sharp: Hi mom; hi Kat.
Mom: Hi, Sharp.
Katie: Sh...
Mom: *gasp* Sharp, I think Katie just said something! Hurry and get dad!
Sharp: Gets his dad.
Dad: What happened?
Mom: I think Katie just said her first word!
Dad: Oh really? I hope it was "daddy"!
Sharp: If it was, she wouldn't have said it until she saw you...
Dad: Yeah, true... *sigh*
Mom: *giggle* Did you say "mommy", Kat?
Katie: Goo...
Dad: I don't think so...
Sharp: Hey Kat, can you tell us what you said?
Katie: Sha!
Sharp: Did she just say...
Dad: Uh huh...
Sharp: I can't believe that her first word is my name! (Well, almost my name...)
Mom: That's because she loves you, Sharp!
Katie: Sha!
Dad: Aw man, that's not fair! Can't you say "daddy"?
Katie: Mommy!
Mom: *gasp* You said "mommy"! I'm so proud of you, Katie!
Dad: ...
Sharp: *giggle*
Dad: What about me, Katie?
Katie: Goo...
Dad: She doesn't love me... *sob*
Mom: Don't worry, Katie loves her daddy very much! Doesn't she?
Katie: Goo.

Back in the present...

Indigo: *giggle* She must really be attached to you, Sharp!
Sharp: Heh, yeah...
Katie: Hungwy...
Sharp: Oh okay, I'll get your bottle... Indigo, can you watch Kat?
Indigo: Sure.
Sharp: Remember, no magic! Puts Katie back in her crib, then heads toward the kitchen to get her bottle.
Indigo: Hmph... Hey Kat, do you want to see my magic?
Katie: Goo?
Indigo: (Sharp doesn't want me to show people my magic so no one finds out I'm a witch, but since Kat is a baby she won't remember anyway...) Uses her magic to make a bunch of balloons and confetti appear.
Katie: *giggle*
Indigo: Heh, you like it?
Sharp: Comes back in the room with the bottle. What are you doing?!? Did you use your magic to make this stuff?!?
Indigo: Why does it matter? Kat's just a baby; she won't remember this anyway...
Sharp: That isn't it! It's because I don't trust you using magic around Kat!
Indigo: What's the worst thing that could happen? Accidentally uses her magic on Kat, which causes her to shrink to the size of a bread crumb. Huh?!?
Katie: *sniff* Hungwy...
Sharp (angry): What did you do to her?!?
Indigo (scared): D-don't worry, I think I can fix this...
Sharp (angry): You think?!?
Indigo (scared): H-here goes... (I hope this works...) Uses a de-spell on Kat and returns her to normal. Phew, it worked...
Katie (crying): Waaah! *sniff*
Sharp: Picks her up to calm her down. Look what you did! This is all your fault!
Indigo: I'm sorry; it was an accident...
Sharp: I told you not to use magic around her, but you didn't listen!
Katie: Sha, hungwy...
Sharp: Gets the bottle and gives it to Kat. He leaves the room holding her.
Indigo: Sharp...
