At Maple High School...

Silo: Walking to school, humming. School! It's the first day of school!
?1: Walks up to him. You seem pretty happy today, shrimp.
Silo: Hey Colon! Aren't you excited?
?1: Not really...
Silo: You're never excited about anything...

Silo is 14, and today's his first day of high school. He is very excited about it, unlike his brother Colon. Colon is 17, and is on his last year of school. He is feared by students and teachers alike. In fact, the one who isn't scared of him is Silo.

Colon: Well, see ya shrimp. Goes in the school.
Silo: Bye, Colon! Hm, now where am I supposed to go? Augh, I can't remember...
?2: Hey, are you in 9th grade, too?
Silo: Uh huh. But I can't remember where I'm supposed to go...
?2: But you haven't even gone in yet...
Silo: Darn it, what am I supposed to do?
?2: You could go in and look...
Silo: Hm, that's not a bad idea!
?2: *sweatdrop* ...
Silo: Here I go! Into the school! Runs inside.
?2: H-hey, wait a minute!
Silo: I, uh... I'm lost...
?2: Runs up to him, worn out. *huff* Jeez, would you slow down?
Silo: Huh? Oh, it's you again. Do you know where I'm supposed to go?
?2: Yeah, you already passed it.
Silo: Oh, I got so excited I didn't notice...
?2: *sigh*
Silo: By the way, I'm Silo. What's your name?
?2: It's Leese.
Silo: Okay Leese, let's be friends!
Leese: Eh? Sure, I guess... (I have a feeling I'm going to regret this...)
Silo/Leese: Go to class (History).
Teacher: Welcome! Did you two get lost?
Leese: Well, he did...
Teacher: Please, have a seat.
Silo: Sits in one of the front seats.
Leese: Sits somewhere in the back. *sigh* (History... I wonder what we're going to do...)
Silo: Hey teacher, what are we going to learn today?
Teacher: Today we're going to just introduce ourselves.
Silo: Oh.

After class...

Leese: (I can't believe Silo is in all of my classes...)
Silo: School was so much fun! I can't wait until next week!
Leese: Next week? But there's school tomorrow...
Silo: O-oh, that's right! Heheh!
Leese: ...?

A giant shadow appears over them.

Leese: Huh? Why's it getting so dark? Looks up, and sees a flying beast above her. Eh?!?
Silo: What is that?
Beast: GRAGGL!!! Flies down and grabs Leese.
Leese: Ah! Let go of me! Someone help!
Silo: Oh no! Leese! Sees someone shining in the woods. Huh? What's that? Goes to see what it is, and finds a yellow sword there. Hm? Picks it up. Maybe I can use this... Runs to where Leese is - very fast. I don't know why, but I'm running really fast! This is fun! Weee! Crashes into a wall. Ow...
Beast: GRAGGL!!!
Leese: Silo! Get away!
Silo: Take this! Throws the sword at the beast. A yellow ray of light brings it back.
Beast: GRAGGL!!!!! Lets go of Leese.
Leese: Runs up to Silo. H-how did you do that? Where did you get that sword?
Silo: No idea! I just all of a sudden knew how to use it!
Beast (angry): GRAGGL!!!
Silo: Let's try something else... The sword starts glowing, and makes the beast disappear. Huh?
Leese: It's gone...
Sword: Silo, well done...
Silo: H-huh? You talked!
Leese: W-what going on here? First, a random monster, now a talking sword? Who are you, Silo?
Sword: Silo, you are the Chosen Warrior of Emotions...
Silo: Huh? What's that?
Sword: Please use me wisely from now on... The same thing goes for the other Silos...
Leese: Other Silos? What it is talking about?
Silo: I... well... I guess I should tell you...
