Kyte: Fighting a monster with a sword. Take this! Slashes it in two. BA-YUM!
Locke: Holding a bow. Would you stop doing that to all of them? I want to fight too!
Kyte: Then find your own! I want to fight by myself.
Locke: Since when? What happened to our team?
Kyte: Kills another monster. BA-YUM!
Locke: *sigh*
Kyte: Fighter Knights are grouped up in a team of a guy and a girl, so we can't be a team anymore.
Locke: Wait, I thought you didn't want to be a fighter. You said the way the king made the groups was stupid.
Kyte: Yeah, but I figured out why he did that.
Locke: Oh, really? And why's that?
Kyte: Because girls can't defend themselves and they need a guy to protect them. Duh.
Locke: That's a stupid reason...
Kyte: Says you. All girls are weak. It's common knowledge.
Locke: Have you heard of Vahlde?
Kyte: Who's that?
Locke: The king says she's the strongest fighter he's ever seen. For her age, that is.
Kyte: That's baloney. How would you even know?
Locke: I'm the king's advisor's son. I've told you a million times.
Kyte: Oh, right... Sees a monster and kills it. BA-YUM!
Locke: Alright, you've trained enough. Let's go back to the village, the expiration for applying to be a Fighter Knight is in less than an hour.
Kyte: But you haven't trained enough...
Locke: And who's fault is that?!?
Kyte/Locke: Go to the village, to Locke's house.
?1: Walks up to them. Hey, guys!
Locke: Hey, Aro. What are you doing here?
Aro: I was waiting for you. I wanted to show you a new spell I learned!
Kyte: It is as useless as the others?
Aro (angry): What's that supposed to mean?
Locke: Sorry Aro, we have to go apply to be Fighter Knights now. After, okay?
Kyte: What do you mean we? You're applying too?
Locke: I might as well, if you're gonna...
Aro: I'm going to apply too!
Kyte: Aren't you a little young and inexperienced?
Aro: Grr! Stop making fun of me!
Locke: He has a point, Aro... Maybe you should wait a few years...
Aro: B-but...
Locke: Let's go, Kyte. Before it's too late.
Kyte/Locke: Go to the castle.
Kyte: I have a feeling he's still going to apply...
Locke: Don't jinx it, Kyte...
Kyte: Heh, I don't believe in jinxes.
Kyte/Locke: Apply.
Locke: There.
Kyte: Hm? Sees a girl with a purple lance applying. Who's that?
Locke: That's the girl I was talking about before. Vahlde.
Kyte: W-what, seriously?!? But she's so cute!
Locke: If I were you, I wouldn't say that to her face...
Kyte: Oh no, the scary girl is going to kill me! Taps Vahlde's shoulder.
Locke: What are you doing, you idiot?!?
Kyte: Hiya.
Vahlde: What do you want?
Kyte: You're Vahlde, right? I heard that you're one of the most powerful fighters in this village.
Vahlde: Yeah, so?
Kyte: But that can't be true, right? I mean, you're a girl, and everyone knows that strong girls can't exist.
Vahlde (angry): What do you know?
Locke: (Kyte, you idiot...)
Vahlde (angry): If you call other people weak, then you're weak yourself!
Kyte: I am not weak! I'll show you! Takes out his sword.
Locke: *sigh* Here we go...
Vahlde: Lightly places the top of her lance on his head.
Kyte: Huh?
Vahlde: Electrocutes him.
Kyte: GAH!!! Collapses.
Vahlde: Just as I thought... Walks away.
Locke: Wow, she totally creamed you...
Kyte: Gets up. S-shut up...
Guard: Attention, everyone! If you have applied to become a Fighter Knight, please come this way!
Kyte/Locke: Follow the guard. They are brought to a large room full of people.
Kyte: Wow, there sure are a lot of people here...
?2: Sees Kyte. I-it's Kyte...
Guard: Alright, everyone! You will each get a card with a number on it. Find the other person with the same number as you, for you will be grouped up with them from now on.
Kyte: Where are the... A card appears in his hand (it had a 42 on it). Whoa!
Locke: Heh. Gets a card and reads it. I got a 64.
Kyte: Darn, it's not the same as mine!
Locke: Obviously not... I'm going to find my partner now, see ya. Leaves.
Kyte: *sigh* Where is my new partner? Accidentally bumps into Vahlde. Ow!
Vahlde: Jeez, you! Watch it! Picks up her card that fell.
Kyte: Wait, that card...
Vahlde: What about it?
Kyte: There's a 42 on it...
Vahlde: So?
Kyte: Shows her his card. Mine also has a 42...
Vahlde: *sweatdrop* ...
Kyte: Heh, you're so lucky to have teamed up with me!
Vahlde (angry): Y-you've got to be kidding me... Just don't get in my way, understand?!?
Kyte: I'm the one who should be saying that...
Locke: Alright, so you're my partner? What's your name?
?2: I-it's Hale... (I wanted to be with Kyte...)
Guard: Take your numbered assignments on the wall. This will be your first test.
Kyte: Takes the sheet of paper with a 42 on it.
Vahlde: Let me see it.
Kyte: No.
Vahlde: Why not?!?
Kyte: Because the leader should be the one to read it.
Vahlde: Who said your the leader?
Kyte: Since I'm the guy, the leader should obviously be me.
Vahlde: Whacks Kyte with her lance and takes the paper from him.
Kyte: Ow, that hurt!
Vahlde: Reads it. "Escort a man to his village." That's it? This is easy...
Kyte: Let me see it!
Vahlde: What are you, deaf? I just read it out loud! You should have listened!
Kyte: Your voice is so annoying, I couldn't understand you.
Vahlde (angry): Glares at Kyte.
Kyte: Just give it to me!
Vahlde: Fine! Forcibly gives it to Kyte.
Kyte: Thanks... Reads it. Hm... Easy as pie!
Vahlde: So let's go! We shouldn't waste any time.

So it seems like Kyte and Vahlde must put aside their differences and team up to accomplish a mission. It seems easy, but will they be able to do it? Find out next episode; episode #02...
