Rise: (It's the first day of high school...) *sigh* (It's too cold for school... But it'll be worth it if I get to see her...)
Jarr: Walks up to him. Hey, Rise!
Rise: (No, that's not her...) Sees a bunch of girls talking to each other.
Girl 1: Hey Leelah, ready for the first day of high school?
Leelah: Yes, I'm kind of excited.
Rise (blushing): (L-Leelah...)
Girl 2: Excited? I'm kind of scared, actually...
Leelah: I'm sure we'll do fine.
Girl 1: I hope so.
Jarr: Hey, that girl's Leelah right? Neenah's sister?
Rise: Uh, yeah...
Jarr (blushing): That must mean Neenah will be attending our high school, too! Isn't that great?
Rise: Who cares... (All I care about is Leelah...)
Jarr: C'mon, you aren't even the least bit interested in her?
Rise: No way! I hate stuck-up girls like her!
Neenah: Who's stuck-up?
Rise: Speak of the devil... A large group of boys gather around Neenah.
Boys (blushing): Neenah! You look so beautiful today!
Neenah: Why thank you, boys!
Jarr (blushing): It's Neenah! She's here!
Rise: I'd better leave, their stupidity might be contagious... Goes into the school. So, this is what the inside looks like, huh...?
Abate: Walks up to Rise with another guy. Yo, Rise! What's up?
Rise: Hey, Abate... Who's this guy?
Abate: He's my new pal, Repse!
Repse: Hey!
Rise: Oh, I see... I'm Rise.
Abate: Now that we have a new pal, we can call our group the "Quad Squad"!
Rise: "Quad Squad"...? (At least it's better than the "Tripod Squad"...)
Abate: By the way, where is our third squad member?
Rise: You mean Jarr? He's flirting over Neenah with those other guys...
Abate: Why?
Rise: Who knows...
Repse: He's probably "jarring" her... Heheh...
Rise: ...that wasn't funny...
Repse: Oh, sorry...
Abate: Hey, can I see your schedule, Rise?
Rise: Sure... Shows Abate his schedule.
Abate: Hm... BLAH!!!
Rise: Eh...?
Abate: Your schedule's so boring! Go change it!
Rise: Why?!?
Abate: Because I said so! Let's go! Grabs Rise's arm and drags him to the office.
Rise: What do you want me to change?
Abate: You should choose at least one fun class. Save working for when you're an adult.
Rise: Fine, fine!
Abate: Oh, and make sure it's one of my classes!
Rise: Don't push it! (I guess I'll get rid of History...) Changes his schedule. There, happy? The bell rings.
Abate: Alright, let's go! Was it the first class you switched?
Rise: Yeah... Goes to his class. (I wonder what this "Nature" class is all about...) *sigh* Sits in a desk. There aren't that many people here...
Leelah: Walks up to him. Oh, you're in this class, Rise?
Rise (blushing): L-Leelah! (Leelah's in this class?!? I have to make sure to thank Abate later...)
Leelah: That's good. I got a little scared because I don't recognize anyone else here...
Rise: It's okay, a lot of people haven't arrived yet...
Jarr: Appears behind Rise. Mornin'!
Rise: Yah! J-Jarr...? (Great, he's in this class?!?)
Jarr: Oh, I didn't know you were friends with Leelah...
Rise: Yeah, she was in one of my classes in elementary school...
Teacher: Comes in. Good morning, class. ...wow, there really aren't that many people in my class. Looks at her attendance list. There's only 6 of you...
Rise: (Wait, this is the whole class...?)
Leelah: Wow...
Jarr: So that means Neenah's not in this class then... *sigh* Aw man...

Teacher: Oh well. Anyway, everyone take a seat.
Leelah: Sits in a desk next to Rise. Do you mind if I sit next to you, Rise?
Rise (blushing): N-no, not at all! (Leelah's sitting next to me...)
Leelah: Smiles.
Rise (flushed): ... (I don't know if my heart will be able to survive this class...)
Jarr: Sitting to the right of Rise. Hey, I'm sitting next to you, bud!
Rise: *sweatdrop* (Never mind...)
Teacher: Alright class, I'm Ms. Erovra. I'm going to be your Nature class teacher! Okay, attendance time! Takes the attendance. Alright! Now, does anyone have any questions before we begin?
Rise: Yes, I have one...
Erovra: Ah yes, Rise was it? What would you like to ask?
Rise: What are we supposed to do in this class?
Erovra: Why, naturey stuff of course! We will do things that corresponds with nature.
Rise: (That answered nothing... And is "naturey" even a word?)
Leelah: I have a question too, Ms. Erovra.
Erovra: Yes, Leelah. What is it?
Leelah: What are we going to do today?
Erovra: Glad you asked! Today we are going to do something fun! Takes out a fishing rod. Fishing!
Rise: Fishing? In the winter?!?
Erovra: Oh, not just any kind of fishing! Ice fishing! The eskimos do it all the time! We'll fish in the frozen pond today! Come, students!
Leelah: Oh my, I've never ice fished before...
Jarr: Eskimos? Aren't they extinct?
Rise: (Ice fishing on my first day of high school... Isn't this kind of last minute...?)
