Episode #10 - The Story of PARAGRAF

In the last episode, the tournament finally finished with a victory for Safír! But the tournament's not the only thing that's finished; summer is too! Which means...

Safír: ...school starts! *groan*
Sunny: You don't like school?
Safír: Do I look like I like school?
Sérgio: Safír, please! You're complaining about 2nd grade? It's fun there!
Safír: Fun? Yeah right...
Sunny: Why don't you think it's fun?
Safír: Because it's not at home.
Sunny: You liked the tournament and that wasn't at home.
Safír: But dad and mom and everyone else was there. All I have is you when I go to school.
Sunny: Hey, what's that supposed to mean? Anyway... other kids will be there! And the teacher...
Safír: The teacher's the worst part.
Sunny: But you don't even know who the teacher is...

Sérgia came in through the door.

Sérgio: Back already? That was fast!
Sunny: Where did you go?
Safír: Yeah, I didn't know you left.
Sérgia: I got a job!
Safír: Well, that answers our question.
Sunny: What's your job, mom?
Sérgia: I'm going to be your teacher!
Sérgio: Wow, really?
Sunny: Do you still think the teacher's the worst part of school, Safír?
Safír: ...

At school... Sérgia had everyone introduce themselves to each other. They all met each other and talked about themselves. There were a total of 8 kids. The list of the kids names looked like this:

Ivy

PARAGRAF

Sunny

Sunny: Hi, Ivy!
Ivy: Hey, guys!
Safír: Who are you?
Riley: I'm Riley. I'm Ivy's new neighbor.
Sunny: Wow, really? That's great!
PARAGRAF: Hey, guys!
Ivy: Hey, PARAGRAF! Have you met our new friend, Riley?
PARAGRAF: No. It is nice to meet you, Riley.
Riley: PARAGRAF? Um... that's... a nice name...
Sunny/Safír/Ivy: ...?
PARAGRAF: I know, it is a weird name.
Ivy: It's because he's a robot.
Riley: A robot?!? No way, really? Who made him?
Ivy: I did.
Riley: Really? You must be a total genius to be able to do that.
Sunny: Oh no...
Ivy: A genius, well...
Safír: Ivy, don't start! What a show-off...
Ivy: ...
Riley: What was the reason for making him though?
Ivy: It's a long story, but I'll tell you anyway (I have nothing else better to do).

Sunny's and Safír's birthday 1 year ago; at Ivy's house...

Ivy: Sunny and Safír will be so surprised! This will be their best birthday gift ever!

A few hours later...

Ivy: Finally done... Now all I have to do is turn it on, and we'll have a new friend!

Ivy turned the robot on.

Robot: Hello, Ivy.
Ivy: Yes, it works! Hello... um... robot... Aw, shoot, I've got to think of a name! Maybe Sunny and Saf can help me! C'mon! Let's go to their house!

Ivy arrived at Sunny's and Safír's house.

Sérgio: Hi, Ivy! Come on in!
Ivy: Thanks. Where are Sunny and Safír?
Sérgio: Upstairs.
Ivy: Thanks again.

Ivy went upstairs and saw Sunny and Safír upstairs preparing for the party.

Ivy: Hey, Sunny! Hey, Saf! Sunny: Huh? Oh, hi Ivy!
Safír: What are you doing here so early?
Ivy: I came here to show you the robot I made.

Ivy showed them the robot.

Sunny: Wow, you made that all by yourself?!? You really are a...
Safír: Don't get him started, Sunny...
Sunny: What's his name?
Ivy: I didn't name him yet... Actually, that's the reason I came here...
Sunny: Hey, why not make his name stand for something?
Safír: What can he do? That might help you figure out a name.
Ivy: Well, he can do basic stuff, from complicated aerobics to simple drawing...
Sunny: Oh, I thought of a name!
Ivy: What is it?
Safír: Yeah, tell us.
Sunny: PARAGRAF!
Safír: What does it stand for?
Sunny: Pretty Artistic Really Aerobic Great Robot And Friend!
Ivy: That works, I guess...

Back to the present...

Ivy: So that's why I made him.
Riley: All right, works for me. (I still don't understand, but whatever...)
