Chapter #01 - Combat School?!

Ever since the incident between Sérgia and I two years ago, we haven't seen each other much. But just as I was thinking about that, things started to change...


"Gee, it sure is boring around here..." I said, out in an open field with my CS-mon friend, Serge.

"Sérgio, peace is what all true warriors strive for." Serge responded smugly.

"Very funny Serge, but you do have a point." I sighed. "But still, there's nothing to do these days."

"Sérgio, I have a letter for you!" Said a voice above us. It was Sprit, another one of my CS-mon friends.

"Whose it from?"

"Open it and see." Sprit handed me the letter.

"Dear Sérgi,
It's been so long! How's everything going? I hope you're doing okay.
Anyway, would you like to come visit the castle? I hope you will; we have so much to catch up on!
I hope you do visit. See you soon, I hope.
From Your Friend, Sérgia
P.S. Oh, almost forgot. I have something important to discuss with you. Please come visit me!"

"I'm guessing she isn't used to writing letters." Serge said after I read the letter aloud.

"Guess not..."

"Are you going to visit her?" Sprit asked. "You really should. You haven't seen her in a long time, right?"

"Of course I will." That last part also worries me a bit...


The castle was both huge and gorgeous; inside and out. That's to be expected of CS Castle though, home of every king and queen of the CS Region.

And of course, it's Sérgia's home as well. But I'm kind of intimidated by this place to visit her too often...

"Um, hello?" I said, finally entering the castle. "I hope I'm not intruding."

"Ah, Sir Sérgio. How nice of you to come visit." Said Sérgia's butler, Bastion, who was busy cleaning as usual. "Is there something I can help you with?"

"U-uh, is it alright if I see Sérgia?"

"Of course. Right this way."

"Thanks."

He led me down one of the castle corridors, which even that was pretty big. Sérgia's room isn't actually that far compared to the other rooms, but I still have a hard time finding it on my own.

"Here you are. Lady Sérgia has been awaiting your arrival." Bastion said, with his hand out toward the door.

"Thank you." Before I could even touch the doorknob, the door flew open.

"Sérgi!" Said a familiar voice. It was of course Sérgia, who proceeded to glomp me instantly, which almost caused me to lose my balance.

"S-Sérgia?! Why are you--..."

"Ahem. If you'll excuse me." Bastion left, leaving us alone.


"It's been such a long time since you came to visit." Sérgia said, both of us sitting on her rather large bed (large like everything else in this castle...).

"Yeah, you're right. You haven't really changed much though."

"It's only been a few months, but it seems like forever. When you're not here, it gets pretty boring."

"Aren't you busy a lot, though? Since you're a princess and all."

"Yeah, but not as much as you'd think." Sérgia sighed. "Sometimes I wish I had a more simple life. Like you."

My life isn't really all that simple, actually. I thought to myself.

"By the way," I said, remembering something. "In your letter you said you had something to discuss with me..."

"Huh? ... Oh!" Sérgia clasped her hands together. "That's right, I almost forgot. I have something to talk to you about."

"Yeah, I know... What is it?"

"I've decided to enroll to a special school in Lopan. Instead of being home-schooled."

"Really, why?"

"I want to learn more aabout the healing power I have. I also want to meet new people like me, as well."

"Oh, that's great; I think it's something that would be good for you. ... But is that all you wanted to talk about?"

"Not exactly. Actually, I want to ask you a favor."

"Sure, what is it?"

"U-um... C-could you come with me?"

"E-eh?"

"I-I've never been to a school before, or any public place for that matter, all by myself. I'm scared to go alone..."

"Oh, is that all? Okay, I'll go with you."

"R-really?!" She said with an extremely happy look on her face. "I-it's really alright?"

"Sure, it sounds pretty interesting. When are we supposed to go?"

"Classes start a week from now. However, most of the students have already gone to tour the school and settle in. Apparently both the school and the dorm building are pretty big."

"I see."

"Whenever you want to go is up to you."

"How about right now?"

"R-right now...?"

Damn, apparently I had quite a bit more written stuff that I hadn't made into HTML and uploaded before than I thought; I almost completely forgot this existed! The modified date for the original was "10/30/2010", which means I guess I wrote it in 2010? That's the year I made the name "CS-Masyet", and it's also the year I switched to this different writing style, so it couldn't have been earlier than that. From what I remember, this was one of the first things I wrote after switching writing styles, but I never finished it (which is why I'd never uploaded this before, I guess). I made the text a bit bigger than the original, so it's easier to read, but otherwise this should basically be one to one with the WordPad version.
