Wimpish Wizard José
Ch.#01 - Wizard School

A detective walks into his office with his son.

His assistant walks in. "Detective Roid!"

Mr. Roid: "Great timing. Is there a case I need to take?"

Assistant: "No, it's about the portal to the Flora Kingdom..."

Roid: "What about it? Is the research on it finally finished?"

Assistant: "No, it's not that..."

Roid: "What's the matter? You sound troubled..."

Assistant: "About a week ago, the portal disappeared. And a new one appeared in it's place. We sent someone to investigate the new world, but..."

Roid: "...but what?"

Assistant: "He never returned..."

Roid (shocked): "W-what?!?"

Assistant: "We sent some others to find him, but it seems to be peaceful... We want you to help investigate that mysterious place. We will send some soldiers just in case something happens."

Roid: "Sure. I'll go right now."

His son, José, tugged on his leg. "But dad, you said I could see one of your investigations today..."

Roid: "I'm sorry. Some other time, okay?"

José: "But..."

Roid: "Sorry, this is really important, José..."

José: "Okay..."

Roid: "Good boy, see you later." Goes with his assistant to another room.

José: "Man, I was really looking forward to today, too... It's not like I don't care about that missing person, but..."

José hears a voice in his head. "Come see me..."

José: "W-what was that?"

Voice: "Please go into the portal and come see me..."

José: "The portal...? The one my dad went inside?" Goes into the room where his dad went. "T-that's the portal? It's kind of scary looking..."

Lab Worker: "Hey kid, you can't be in here!"

Voice: "Go inside..."

José's feet start to move towards the portal on their own. "W-wait, I don't..." José is sent into the portal.

Worker: "No, kid!"

José: "YAHHH!!!" Disappears.

Worker 2: "Oh no, what'll we do now?"

Worker: "We have to tell his father about this."

José: Appears in another world. "W-where am I...?"

Voice: "Please find me, m-..."

Roid: Runs up to him. "José!"

José: "D-dad..."

Roid (angry): "What are you doing here?!? Don't you know that this place is dangerous?"

José: "I-I'm sorry, I..."

His father hugs him. "I'm just happy that you're safe..."

José: "Sorry, dad..."

Roid: "Stay close to me until we leave, okay?"

José: "Okay... (Should I tell dad about the weird voice...?)"

The two walk and see the assistant talking with some people.

Assistant: "Mr. Roid!"

Roid: "What's the matter?"

Assistant: "These people won't let me through."

Mysterious Person: "What business do you have here?"

MP2: "There have been some strange people coming here recently, so we've raised our security."

MP1: "If you have no business here, please leave."

José: "These people look like wizards..."

Roid: "Wizards...?"

Wizard 1: "Yes, that is because this is WizVille, the land of wizards."

Wizard 2: "Oh, are you taking this child to the Wizard School?"

Roid: "Wizard school?"

José: "Yes, that's right."

Roid: "But, José..."

José: "If I go to the school, then maybe you can stay here and look for the missing person."

Roid: "But are you okay with this, José...?"

Wizard 1: "Well...?"

José nods to his father. "I want to apply for the wizard school."

Wizard 2: "Alright, then follow me." They follow the wizard to the school.

José: "This is the school?"

Assistant: "I have a bad feeling about this place..."

Roid: "Whether he wants to go or not is José's decision."

José: "I'll go."

Roid: "Okay. I'll come to get you later, okay?"

José: "Okay." Mr. Roid and the assistant leave.

The wizard brings José to a classroom. "Here you go. All the other classes are full, so this will be your classroom." The wizard leaves.

José: "(This is a small classroom. I wonder what it'll be like here...)"

The teacher walks up to him. "Oh, a transfer student? Welcome, I'm Violet. What's your name?"

José: "J-José..."

Violet: "There's no need to be shy. Class, we have a new student. His name is José. Please be nice to him."

Class: "Okay!"

Violet: "Take a seat over there." Points to an empty seat in the back.

José sits in his seat. He tries talking to the person sitting next to him. "Um, hello there..."

Student: "..."

José: "Um..."

Student: "Shut it. I don't want to talk to you!"

José: "O-oh, sorry..."

The student in front of him turns around. "There's no point in trying to talk to Salsa. She doesn't like anybody, especially guys."

José: "(She's a girl?!?)"

Parsley (angry): "Shut up, Tim! My name isn't Salsa! It's Parsley!"

Tim: "Whatever you say, Salsa..." Turns back around.

Parsley (angry): "..." Glares at José. "What are you looking at?!?"

José (scared): "N-nothing... (She's scary...)"

Violet: "Settle down, Parsley. Alright, we'll do group training today. Since we have an even number of students now, Parsley will be grouped with José."

Parsley (angry): "What?!? Why?"

José: "(Yeah, why?!? I don't want to be grouped with this scary girl...)"

Violet: "Parsley, if you yell like that again, you're getting a detention."

Parsley: "*groan*"

The class goes outside.

Violet: "Since you're new here José, you can just watch Parsley."

José: "Alright."

Parsley: "Don't get in my way."

José: "I-I won't... (If I do, she'll probably hurt me...)" He watches Parsley cast some spells. "W-wow... (So this is what a wizard can do...)"

And that's how José got into the wizard school.
